Another call for our PDW, sponsored by the AOM ENT Division, taking place at this year's Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Copenhagen: Navigating Uncertainty in Entrepreneurship: Theoretical and Practical Perspectives
As a field of study and practice, entrepreneurship encompasses diverse theoretical perspectives and frameworks for understanding the entrepreneurial process. In this PDW, scholars will present and discuss three of the most prominent theoretical approaches in entrepreneurship literature: the Opportunity Creation perspective, the Judgment-Based Approach, and the Theory-Based View.
The senior scholars who have developed and applied these perspectives will review the key points of each approach and draw out points of agreement and disagreement among them (and other ideas in entrepreneurship theory), focusing on the key question of how each perspective informs our understanding of entrepreneurial decision-making under uncertainty.
The session will have Michael Holmes (Florida State University) as moderator, and will have the following panelists:
Sharon A. Alvarez, University of Pittsburgh
Peter Klein, Baylor University
Todd Zenger, University of Utah
Rajshree Agarwal, University of Maryland
For those willing to have feedback on their proposals and matched with one of our esteemed faculty members, please send your file by June 15th through the following link: https://forms.gle/utahrLWpmVsBfeZr5.
The event will occur on Sunday, July 27th, 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM CEST (GMT+2/UTC+2) at Bella Center in Hall D- D1-m4.
See you all in Copenhagen!
