We are excited to organize a PDW on Health, Wellbeing, and Entrepreneurship to be held at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. This workshop will bring together scholars from around the globe to explore the intersection of health, wellbeing, and entrepreneurial activities.
This PDW seeks to strengthen the community of researchers interested in entrepreneurs' mental health, illbeing, and well-being, and to create new connections. This workshop is designed for academics specializing in entrepreneurship, management, and related fields who are interested in advancing research on the relationship between entrepreneurship and health/wellbeing. Whether you're conducting research on the impact of entrepreneurial activities on physical and mental health, exploring resilience and stress management in entrepreneurs, or investigating the role of wellbeing in entrepreneurial success, we invite you to join what has been an engaging and thought-provoking session the past several years.

There are a couple of ways to join the team:
As a Presenter
The PDW session will feature an interactive gallery walk to showcase published and emerging research in entrepreneur health and wellbeing. If you opt for this role, you can expect to create a poster highlighting your research by June 15, 2026, and present your poster to other PDW participants during the gallery walk at the conference. Your name and affiliation will be listed formally as a presenter on the PDW proposal submission.
As a Roundtable Host
The PDW session will also hold a roundtable session to discuss special topics with like-minded scholars. If you would like to host a table, you can propose the special topic you would like to discuss at the link below. You may be paired with one or more other scholars in a similar area. This role will also be listed formally as a presenter on the PDW proposal submission.
Interested in one (or both) of these roles during the workshop? Simply fill out the form at the link below to indicate your interest before December 31, 2025. The Rule of 3 + 3 applies to being listed as a presenter on the proposal.
You can submit all necessary information at the link above, but if you have any other questions, please email the lead organizer, Ashley Chavez. Hope to see you in Philadelphia!
