Call for Papers: Track 6 – Internationalization Process of SMEs and International Entrepreneurship

On behalf of the organizing team, we are delighted to invite academic scholars and researchers to submit their work to Track 6: Internationalization Process of SMEs and International Entrepreneurship at the upcoming AIB Middle East & North Africa 2025 Chapter Conference, hosted by the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
This track focuses on the dynamic and evolving processes through which small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expand beyond their domestic markets and engage in international entrepreneurship. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and case-based research that explores:
- Strategies and pathways for SME internationalization
- Challenges and opportunities in cross-border expansion
- The role of innovation, networks, and digitalization in international entrepreneurship
- Comparative studies across regions or industries
- Policy implications and support mechanisms for SME internationalization
- Entrepreneurial mindsets and leadership in global contexts
Research submissions may focus on the MENA region or examine other contexts, provided the work discusses potential consequences or implications for the MENA region.
Track 6 objectives:
- Contribute to advancing knowledge on SME internationalization and entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
- Engage with leading scholars in the field of international business and entrepreneurship.
- Network with peers and potential collaborators from the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond.
