Dear colleagues in the AOM ENT Division,

I would like to warmly invite you to submit to EURAM 2026 (Kristiansand, Norway, 16–19 June 2026) and, in particular, to our track T04_06: "Succession, Legacy and Legitimacy in Family and Royal Enterprises."Submissions are open until 7 January 2026.

I am honoured to co-chair this track together with Elham Kalhor and Jannek Sommer.

In this track, I focus on leadership transitions in which legacy and legitimacy become central organising principles across family enterprises, heritage-based organisations, and royal or public-facing institutions. I am particularly interested in work that examines external succession, symbolic and narrative forms of legitimacy, governance adaptation during transitions, and the institutional logics shaping continuity and change.

I welcome conceptual, empirical, and comparative contributions, including (but not limited to) research on succession in (royal) family businesses; legacy preservation under external leadership; symbolic, ritualised, and public transitions; the interplay between succession and religion; and multilevel perspectives on legitimacy, governance, and stakeholder dynamics.

Please feel free to share this call within your networks-especially with scholars working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, family business, institutional theory, and governance. The full Call for Papers is available in the track document.

    Warm regards,

    Christian Neusser
