About the Handbook: The geography of entrepreneurship and innovation is about understanding where and why innovation and new venture creation thrive. It involves mapping out the diverse landscapes where creativity, risk-taking, and ingenuity converge to drive progress and prosperity. From bustling urban centers to remote rural regions, the terrain of innovative and entrepreneurial activity varies widely, shaped by a multitude of factors including culture, infrastructure, access to resources, and regulatory environments. This book aims to 1) capture current discussions and debates on the geography of entrepreneurship and innovation across scholarly domains; 2) critique extant discourses related to the geography of innovation and entrepreneurship; and 3) outline agendas and offer tools for future research on the geography of entrepreneurship and innovation, including sources of data, analytical and research methods, limitations of existing practices, and the promise of new methods and approaches.
Thank you for considering this invitation. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Brett Anitra Gilbert Larry Plummer
