Luiss University invites outstanding scholars to express their interest in a full-time position as Associate/Full Professor of Entrepreneurship.
Requirements
The call is part of the University's strategic commitment to attracting outstanding scholars from around the world, enhancing its international profile, and fostering cutting-edge research and education that address global challenges while making an impact on society as a whole. Teaching and publishing in English is an essential requirement.
We welcome expressions of interest from scholars of all backgrounds and nationalities, with selections made based on academic merit, potential for impact, and alignment with the University's strategic plan.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- a solid recognised research record, with publications in leading academic journals (e.g. FT50, ABS 4/4*);
- a commitment to teaching excellence and curriculum innovation;
- an ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary projects and contribute to institutional development;
- experience in mentoring junior faculty and doctoral students;
- active membership of international academic networks and project leadership experience.
Ideal candidates will show a strong commitment to contributing meaningfully to the advancement of entrepreneurship theory and practice in both academic and applied contexts.
Candidates should demonstrate research excellence in areas such as entrepreneurial ecosystems, business creation, entrepreneurial teams and innovation. Luiss is part of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that includes an Alumni Investment Club (La4G - Luiss Alumni for Growth) and the participation in one of Italy's largest accelerators (Zest - former Luiss Enlabs).
Ideal candidates will be willing and able to contribute to the development of the upcoming Luiss Entrepreneurship Center, foster startup activity, and collaborate with acceleration and incubation programs to create a concrete impact within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
They will be able to teach and publish in English.
Role and Responsibilities
Luiss associate/full professors are expected to undertake rigorous and innovative research in their field(s) of interest, publish in high quality international journals, and provide academic assistance or leadership in research activities.
They are also expected to contribute to the academic and intellectual life of the University and of the Luiss community at large, and to the development of the University's degree programmes.
Teaching load is usually 120 hours per year, either in undergraduate or graduate programmes, except in special circumstances to be agreed at the time of appointment. Teaching assistantships are available. The position holder will also be required to supervise master's degree and bachelor's degree. Appointments are full-time and the salary is competitive.

About the Department
The primary research areas of faculty at the Department of Business and Management include accounting and performance measurement systems; business strategy; corporate strategy; international business; corporate governance; digital innovation and transformation; ethics, responsibility, and sustainability; finance and banking; innovation and industry evolution; law and economics; marketing and consumer behaviour; organisation theory and HRM; computer and data science; operations management; supply chain management; and circular economy. The Department also offers PhD programmes.
