We invite you to attend our AOM PDW on Entrepreneurship via Inclusive Theoretical and Methodological Approaches.

Our workshop focuses on research opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship addressing economic, social, and environmental change in connection with the Special Issue on "Reimagining Entrepreneurship for Social and Environmental Impact via Inclusive Theoretical and Methodological Approaches" in the Journal of Business Venturing Insights. Inclusive perspectives emphasize the representation of communities and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and the integration of knowledge from various traditions. Inclusive theoretical development can be facilitated by methodological practices that go beyond conventional research methods to actively engage the knowledge, experiences, and views of the communities being researched. This workshop has two parts. First, the presenters will showcase examples from their publications involving inclusive theoretical perspectives (e.g., entrepreneurial autonomy) and methodological approaches (e.g., abduction, empathy mapping, drawing entrepreneurial experiences, graphic depiction, participatory action research, social constructionist via Lego® Serious Play®, and multispecies relations approach) as well as engage with participants via questions from the audience. Second, the presenters will facilitate discussion in small groups about research themes of interest to participants overlapping with the scope of the special issue for research idea development and potential research collaboration. This workshop fosters scholarship opportunities that expand traditional paradigms.
