    Why Attend?

Human capital can be the only valuable resource nascent firms possess, yet the entrepreneurship and strategic human capital literatures have largely operated in silos. This interactive workshop bridges these critical domains to explore how human capital shapes entrepreneurial firms from founding through growth, failure, and beyond.

We will examine a series of broad themes at the intersection of human capital and entrepreneurship: 1) the relationship between human capital and startup performance, 2) the dynamics of attracting and transitioning human capital in and out of entrepreneurial organizations, and 3) the importance of studying "non-traditional" human capital.

    Who will Present?

Speakers include Russ Coff (University of Wisconsin), Kylie Hwang (Northwestern University), Olenka Kacperczyk (London Business School), Megan Lawrence (Vanderbilt University), and Dan Wang (Columbia University).

The session is organized by Geoffrey Borchhardt (University of Oregon), Andrea Contigiani (Ohio State University), Danny Kim (University of Pennsylvania), and sponsored by the OMT, ENT, and STR divisions.

    What to Expect?

This developmental workshop starts with a series of short, focused presentations followed by extensive Q&A. We'll conclude with a collective discussion to identify emerging research directions at the intersection of human capital and entrepreneurship.

This event is valuable for scholars at all career stages, and especially PhD students and junior faculty, interested in various perspectives on human capital and entrepreneurship.

Don't miss this opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and help shape the future of scholarship in this vital intersection!
