Dear colleagues,
I would like to draw your attention to the 2018 ETH Academy on Sustainability and Technology. The theme of the Academy is "Sustainability at the Crossroads: Integrating Technologies, Policies and Strategies for a Sustainable Economy" and it will take place from June 17 to 22, 2018 in the beautiful mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps.
The academy provides a unique platform for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and junior faculty with a background in management, innovation studies, economics or political sciences to present their work to an audience of like-minded scholars and four international faculty. Participants will obtain detailed feedback on their research design, theoretical approaches and methodology. In addition, we provide plenty of room for informal discussions and networking with other junior scholars and professors. This year's faculty consists of:
· Dr. Erin Baker
Professor for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, UMass Amherst
· Dr. Gail Whiteman
Professor for Sustainability in Business, Lancaster University
· Dr. Jeffrey York
Professor for Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Operations, University of Colorado Boulder
· Dr. Volker Hoffmann
Professor for Sustainability and Technology, ETH Zurich
For further details on the academy and the application process, please see find details on the academy and the application process on our website under http://www.sustec.ethz.ch/teaching/phd-academy/academy-20171.html.
The deadline for applications is March 12, 2018. Please feel free to forward this information to anyone you think might be interested.
Thank you very much for spreading the word!
Best wishes,
Johannes
