    MANAGING DIRECTOR, NEELEY ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER

    ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

    Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University

     

    The Department of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership at Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for Managing Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center (NEC) with a non-tenure track appointment as Associate or Full Professor of Professional Practice in Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will begin employment in August, 2018.

     

    Description

    Primary responsibilities include developing and leading co-curricular activities to support entrepreneurship degree programs within Neeley and across campus, expanding the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem, managing the operations and staff of the NEC, and working with department chairs, deans, and the NEC advisory board as an advocate for entrepreneurship at TCU. The successful candidate will be a member of the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership and have teaching responsibilities in entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are highly valued. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

    TCU and the Neeley School of Business

    TCU has approximately 10,000 FTE undergraduate and graduate students, with a student to faculty ratio of 13:1 and an average class size of 27. The Neeley School has approximately 2,500 undergraduates enrolled in the Departments of: Accounting; Finance; Management, Entrepreneurship & Leadership; Marketing; and Information Sciences & Supply Chain and 350 graduate students enrolled in the MBA and Masters of Accounting programs. The school's BBA is ranked in the top 25 by Bloomberg Businessweek, with entrepreneurship ranked in the top 10. The Executive MBA program was recently ranked twelfth in the world by The Economist, and the Full-Time MBA program is ranked in the top 40 by Bloomberg Businessweek. TCU was among 79 Universities cited by The Chronicle of Higher Education 2017 edition of Great Colleges to Work For and recognized in all twelve categories as well as being cited on their honor roll.     The Neeley School is located in Fort Worth, Texas, one of the nation's top communities for business growth. The DFW area is the 4th largest metropolitan area in the United States with a combined population of 6.7 million people. Fort Worth boasts five world-class museums, including the Amon Carter, Kimbell and Modern Art Museum. The downtown is vibrant and supports both the Fort Worth Opera and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Quality of living is high with great restaurants, local breweries, and Trinity Trails, which offers 40 miles of running or biking trails, equestrian trails for horseback riding, boat launches for canoes, kayaks and sculls, and a water-ski slalom course.

     

    Requirements

    Candidates for the position should possess an earned doctorate in business management or a closely related discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in an entrepreneurship center or similar academic unit.
