    Good evening,

I am looking for a simulation that can be used in a capstone course for entrepreneurship.  The ones I have seen so far have started with the beginnings of the business...with canned market research.  Does anyone have any suggestions that will start with the process earlier with idea and market research thru venture creation?

    Thanks,

    Hi Frank,

My simulation, GEO, starts with every player having a line of credit and periodic entitlements, as in MONOPOLY. It's up to the players to draw on their line of credit to found one or more companies in one or more of six industries: one service industry, two natural-resources industries, two manufacturing industries , and one banking industry. As benchmark, the game includes ghost players who do not invest. About 2/3 of undergraduates perform less well than the benchmark. That is, the income that they earn from their investments is less than the interest they pay on their line of credit. Nonetheless, some will perform spectacularly well.

If interested, go here (http://webapps.towson.edu/precha/geoapp/demo/publish.htm) to download the demo, Windows 10 required. Go to my WordPress website below for more information, including an application (GroupMaker) that helps manage group assignments. These are non-commercial products. If you use them, your students gain experience and I get data.
