    Hi,

I hope you had a great weekend.  I received this email from Kerry Ignatz (Volunteer and Division Relations Manager) and, as promised, I am sharing it with you.  As referenced in the message Don Neubaum from our division leadership was on the call as was Diane Magnusson who is with the Academy of Management.

I am very encouraged by their responsiveness to our concerns.

      Best Regards,

    Lou

    "Hi Lou –

My thanks to you and Don for the great discussion with me and Diane last Wednesday. I understand that this issue of member/non-member participation is so very important to you and your members. As we discussed, there are relevant arguments supporting both sides of the issue, and we are attentive and listening to the constructive feedback coming from members.

AOM staff is actively exploring the technical options available to us on this issue, trying to find a solution that will work best for all and perhaps give divisions some flexibility in their approach to setting up the community. Bottom line is, we want the communities to be as successful as possible. To fully consider the options (and implications) on this issue, we are postponing the Connect launch until January.

Thanks for your understanding – and your continued contributions to this conversation!  I know that the ENT community is very active and engaged, and the AOM appreciates all of your support in helping to make the listserv to Connect@AOM transition a success. Please let me know if there are any other questions.

    All best,

    Kerry"
