Celebrating its 11th year of entrepreneurial programming, Rowan University invites applications for a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship to join a growing and interdisciplinary entrepreneurship team. The AACSB-accredited Rohrer College of Business (RCB) has approximately 1,700 undergraduate students and 145 masters' level students and is experiencing a period of unprecedented programmatic and enrollment growth. Thus, we seek an energetic and innovative colleague who is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service to call Rowan home for the 2018-2019 academic year. This position will have dedicated service time to engage in and support programming offered through the Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RCIE). Salary is competitive and this position is benefits-eligible.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a related field from an AACSB accredited university, completed by September 1, 2018
- Proven excellence as a teacher and demonstrated potential for excellence as a researcher
- The ability to teach entrepreneurship-specific coursework
- A reputation of being a collegial colleague and collaborative team member
One or more of the following are a plus:
- Practical experience, including startup experience, work experience within startups or family businesses, work experience in corporate entrepreneurship or innovation, work experience in regional economic development, or work experience in venture finance.
- Experience successfully teaching a variety of entrepreneurship courses.
Entrepreneurship at Rowan
The Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RCIE) serves as an entrepreneurial catalyst to the entire Rowan community. RCIE houses Rowan's Entrepreneurship Across the Campus initiative, Faculty Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, new venture accelerator, entrepreneurship distinguished speaker series, and a plethora of other programs and resources to support Rowan students, faculty, and staff.
