Entrepreneurial Exit: The Questions We Ask and the Answers We Get Around the World
There is significant amount of research in entrepreneurship which focuses upon entry (new venture creation) and the growth of new firms. However, scholars have recently begun to argue that an understanding of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process is incomplete without the inclusion of entrepreneurial exit.
Seven scholars from Europe (Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain) and the United States will present a brief summary of their individual work in entrepreneurial exit, after which presenters and the audience will engage in focused discussion centered on critical questions in entrepreneurial exit. The primary purpose of the workshop is to identify and engage scholars who are currently examining (or considering examining) entrepreneurial exit.
Participants include:
Ø Miguel Amaral, Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal
Ø Dawn DeTienne, Colorado State University, USA
Ø Rachida Justo, Instituto de Empresa, Spain
Ø Sophie Manigart, University of Ghent, Belguim
Ø Rita McGrath, Columbia Business School, USA
Ø Karl Wennberg, Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden
Ø Johan Wiklund, Syracuse University, USA
