    Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Tenure-Track

    Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant or associate level (depending on experience) in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, starting Fall 2018.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The faculty member will teach Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching may also include college-wide programs such as Collegiate Seminar and January Term. Teaching assignments at Saint Mary's College of California include courses at the on-site location in Moraga and may include teaching at off-site locations in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and San Ramon as well as synchronous online instruction.

    Saint Mary's faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda and demonstrate intellectual growth and significant achievement appropriate to their field. Faculty also contribute to the mission and serve the College and community in many ways, including academic advising, student and community outreach, participation in departmental and College-wide committees, and the development and assessment of the College's Core Curriculum.  Faculty are also expected to teach in the College's Core Curriculum, January Term, and Collegiate Seminar programs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must have (1) an earned doctorate in entrepreneurship, management, strategy, or a closely related field, (2) a demonstrated record or a well-articulated trajectory of scholarship in entrepreneurship and innovation, (3) a demonstrated record of teaching entrepreneurship and innovation.  Candidates with professional business experience are preferred.

    The College has been designated a Minority and Hispanic-Serving Institution; many Saint Mary's students are first-generation-to-college. Successful candidates must be able to engage and support students of color, women, and other underrepresented groups, and will be interested in participating in initiatives that aim to increase inclusivity.
