Dear Colleagues,

I am teaching an honors section of undergraduate entrepreneurship. It is similar to a traditional entrepreneurship class, plus I am having students do two book reports. I let students pick their books, but am looking for some books to suggest to them.

One book needs to be a biography of an entrepreneur(s). For example, The Vital Few, Giants of Enterprise, Titan, The Fords: An American Epic, My Life at IBM and Beyond, Sam Walton: Made in America, etc.

The other is an entrepreneurship book on a specialized topic. For example, The Innovator's Dilemma, The Money of Invention, White Man's Burden, Crossing the Chasm, Built to Last, etc.

Could anybody point me to a good list of these sorts of books. If you have some specific books to recommend, e-mail me direct. I'll compile results and post here.

    Thanks,

I have been reading "100 Great Business Ideas and the Minds Behind Them." Each vignette is just a couple pages, but it talks about what the founding entrepreneur was like, what their background was, and how they thought. I find it to be an intriguing book and am thinking about doing a 1-hour honors course built around it.
