The Department of Management in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas seeks applications from interested candidates to fill a Clinical Assistant Professor position in management. This is a non-tenure track position that offers an opportunity to teach both traditional and on-line classes. We seek candidates with diverse skills and abilities who want to play a meaningful role in the life of the Walton College. This clinical professor position has a four-course teaching requirement each semester (12 credit hours per semester). The candidate selected will teach undergraduate courses in business strategy, with the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses in international management, business foundations, and other related courses. The expected start date for the position is Fall 2018 but we will consider a Spring 2018 start date for interested candidates. The appointment is renewable and salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be classified as Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic under AACSB standards -- this could include recent publications in peer reviewed journals and/or engagement in professional practice through outreach, consulting, or other activities consistent with AACSB standards. Candidates must have a doctorate in management or a related field from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited university. Excellent and Innovative teaching are a key requirement for this position and the candidate should furnish evidence about such activities in their CV or cover letter.
Preferred Qualifications: We prefer candidates who have experience and/or an interest in teaching management classes using both face-to-face and online course delivery methods. We also prefer candidates who have a PhD in the field of Business Strategy.

Our faculty have published in top journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. In addition, our faculty have received best paper awards from journals and conferences, have obtained large research grants from public and corporate sponsors, serve on editorial boards of numerous top journals, and hold leadership positions in the Academy of Management. Our faculty have also won a number of teaching awards including several campus-wide, state, and national awards. We have a strong doctoral program with 12 full-time students currently. The Sam M. Walton College of Business is one of the fastest growing colleges in the nation and has a current enrollment of 6000 students. The University of Arkansas has a new capital campaign underway, with a number of transformational gift ideas in place that will benefit the Walton College. A previous campaign raised over 1 billion dollars with 220 million dollars earmarked for the Walton College. Funds from previous campaigns were used to establish several scholarships, endowed professorships and chairs, summer research support, and to install state of the art classroom technology in the College.
