The posts are based in the Department of Management and Marketing in DUBS, which is one of three 'research-led' departments within the Business School. Colleagues share an ambition to advance world changing knowledge and secure global impact through increasingly collaborative research across disciplines with colleagues in Durham University and beyond. We seek to contribute perspectives that enhance the utility and impact of research in other disciplines with scholarship and methods that promote a more equitable and sustainable future for all. As a department that is continuously seeking to develop challenges of both rigour and relevance, we publish our work in internationally outstanding journals and disseminate it beyond the academy. The Department is currently composed of 55 academic staff in the disciplines of Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing, Operations and Technology Management, and Strategy and International Business. Members of the Department conduct research in all of these areas. In addition, the Department hosts three cross-disciplinary research centres in areas of particular expertise: Innovation and Technology Management, Leadership and Followership, and Organisations and Society. The Institute for Local Governance is also located in the Department.

There are two main undergraduate programmes: the BA in Business and Management, and the BA in Marketing and Management. There is a suite of MSc programmes specialising in Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, and Supply Chain and Logistics Management, alongside a recently re-launched and growing MBA programme. A recent initiative is the on-line MBA. There is also a thriving PhD and DBA programme within the School.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding international reputation for their research and an exceptional track record of academic leadership, teaching and administration. They will be expected to demonstrate the highest professional standards in both research and education, and to attract excellent research students to Durham.

Entrepreneurship. Areas of interest include Community, Social, and Employee Ownership and Entrepreneurship, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneur Types, Entrepreneurial Family Firms, Entrepreneurial Finance, Entrepreneurial Management, High Technology and Academic Entrepreneurs, New Venture Creation.
Human Resource Management (HRM). Any area of HRM, including Employment Relations.
Organisational Behaviour (OB). Any area of OB but especially Leadership and Followership.
