The Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications and
nominations for two
chaired professorships:
The John T. Petters Chair in Business Leadership
The John F. Mee Chair in Management Strategy
The Petters Chair in Business Leadership--The principal responsibilities of
the Petters Chair in Business Leadership will be to 1) maintain and promote
an active program of scholarship in business leadership; 2) mentor faculty
and students in business leadership; 3) participate in the development of
the John T. Petters Center for Ethics, Leadership and Professional Skills
Development as a national center for scholarly and co-curricular aspects of
business leadership; 4) support student academic excellence and provide
strong advocacy for the leadership programs throughout the university; 5)
seek resources from and build relationships with constituents outside of the
university. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree and a
demonstrated track record of research and teaching that merits appointment

The John F. Mee Chair in Management StrategyThe successful candidate will
have a demonstrated track record of research and teaching which merits
appointment as a tenured professor and which promises to continue. Primary
responsibilities will include research and teaching in the Farmer Schools
MBA programs. The John F. Mee Chair in Management Strategy will be the lead
faculty member for graduate level strategic management courses and will

The Farmer School of Business will move to its new $65 million facility in
2009. While the undergraduate program is consistently ranked among the best
undergraduate business programs in the US, the Princeton Review most
recently ranked the new full-time MBA program among the top ten classroom
experiences after only its second year of existence. The Farmer Schools
professional MBA program will begin fall 2009 in a brand new facility
located east of Oxford between Dayton and Cincinnati.
