The Israel Strategy Conference (http://isc.org.il/index.php) will be holding its annual Doctoral Consortium at the 2010 meetings. The consortium will be held on Monday, December 27th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The coordinators of the consortium are Robert Salomon (NYU) and Susan Perkins (Northwestern). Faculty facilitators include: Brian Silverman (Toronto), Ed Zajac (Northwestern), Gabriel Szulanski (INSEAD), Michael Lubatkin (U. of Connecticut), Miriam Erez (Technion), and others TBD.
The Israel Strategy Conference Doctoral Consortium is most valuable to Ph.D. candidates interested in conducting leading-edge research and teaching in Strategy and related areas. The consortium will address key issues in academic life such as research methods particularly suited for pursuing questions in Strategy research, solving methodological challenges, and choosing dissertation topics, among others.
Doctoral students in the proposal/dissertation stage will have the opportunity to present their research, and receive feedback, in a thesis development workshop. Doctoral students who do not wish to present their research are still invited to apply to the doctoral consortium; however, preference will be given to more advanced students.
The application deadline for students wishing to present their work is Thursday, July 1, 2010. The application deadline for students wishing to attend without presentation is Friday, October 1, 2010. Only electronic applications will be considered. For further information about the consortium, and to apply, please visit the consortium website at http://isc.org.il/index.php?rid=consortium.
Students attending the doctoral consortium must register for the Israel Strategy Conference. Student discount rates apply. An additional 50% discount will be offered to students presenting their research at the Thesis Development workshop.
