Hello Entrepreneurship Researchers,
As you know, USASBE will be held January 10-14, 2018 in Hollywood, CA, where the average January temperature is a balmy 68 degrees (about 37 degrees warmer than the average at my campus at Utah State University).
I wanted to make sure that you are aware of the Emerging Research Paper Track. This track is for those at the early stages of their research study. Presenters submitting for this track are essentially bringing an abstract to the conference rather than a manuscript. You can think of it as an Academic Elevator Pitch. Presenters should be ready to give a short summary (pitch!) of their proposed research question and methodology, and describe the potential impact of their research on entrepreneurship education and how we teach and learn entrepreneurship. It is our expectation that the "academic investors" in the session will provide critical and developmental feedback on next steps. (Plan for 5-7 minute presentation and 5-7 minutes of immediate discussion)
We anticipate that additional follow-up conversations and collaborations may develop around the ideas throughout the conference. The intention of this track is to further refine and develop an emerging research study, find potential co-authors and obtain other useful resources...all in the spirit of collaboration!
So, if you have a research idea that you have been chewing on, please submit it. If you have an old dusty research question that has been sitting in your file drawer and needs a kick start, please dust it off and submit it. If you are looking for feedback or potential collaborators from the broader academy, please submit to the Emerging Research Paper Track.
Submission deadline is October 15, 2017. Please refer to the CALL FOR ENGAGEMENT for details about all of the ways that you may engage at USASBE 2018.
Cheers,
Dan
