Berea College announces a full time, tenure-track position in the Economics and Business Department, beginning September 2008. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate management and business computer applications courses in a liberal arts environment. Secondarily, other areas of expertise and interest, such as production and operations management, total quality management, and management information systems, will be considered. Opportunity to teach in the College's General Studies program may be available. Preference will be given to applicants holding a Ph.D. or DBA who have undergraduate teaching experience, along with relevant scholarship interest. Applied professional experience is a plus. We seek candidates who can achieve excellence in teaching and who, in an undergraduate environment, will find ways to grow professionally and to interact with students on a one-on-one basis. Commitment to the unique mission of the College and to superior teaching is essential. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with education, experience and scholarship record.
Applicants should send resume, transcripts of graduate and undergraduate work, and three letters of recommendation to Professor Trish Isaacs, Chair, Economics and Business Department, CPO 1844, Berea College, Berea, Kentucky 40404. Consideration of applications will begin December 1, 2007 and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Berea College, in light of its mission in the tradition of impartial love and social equality, welcomes all people of the earth to learn and work here.
