    Tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship/International Business

     

    The Faculty of Business Administration invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Entrepreneurship/International Business at the level of Assistant Professor (a higher level appointment may be considered). Anticipated date of commencement is <st1:date year="2008" day="1" month="7" w:st="on">July 1, 2008</st1:date>.

     

    Candidates are expected to hold a relevant doctorate (or be near completion). Candidates should have a research program in place and a demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarly research and teaching. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily at the undergraduate level, but may also include graduate courses.

     

    The Faculty delivers its Bachelor of Business Administration program through the Paul J. Hill School of Business and its MBA, Executive MBA, and Master of Human Resource Management programs through the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business.     Ranked Renewable Term Position in General/Strategic Management in the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma

     

    The Division of Management in the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma is seeking applicants for a Ranked Renewable Term position starting in August, 2008.

     

    Rank:                           Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor

     

    Salary:                          Open and Competitive based on applicable experience.  Additional summer teaching opportunities may be available. 

     

    Position Structure:         This is a renewable term position which is not eligible for tenure.  The successful candidate will be offered up to a five year contract, which while eligible for unlimited renewals, is also subject to continuation review during each renewal cycle.  The successful candidate will be eligible for the same internal resources (e.g. teaching grants and awards, graduate student support etc.) as tenure-track faculty.  The candidate is eligible for promotion as per applicable Price College Renewable Term Position Policy Guidelines (available on request).

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Maintain qualification for Clinical Reappointment per applicable Price College Renewable Term Position Policy Guidelines (available on request)
    • Teach one "mass" lecture  section of the Principles of Management (BAD 3013) course each of Fall and Spring Semesters
    • Teach additional undergraduate Strategic Management (BAD 4013) sections as assigned by the Management Division Director to fulfill teaching requirements under the Renewable-term Faculty Policy (minimum 6 courses per year).
    • Serve as coordinator for the BAD 4013 Management Courses.
    • Provide support and leadership for student organizations as directed by the Management Division Director.
    • Provide leadership in offering professional development activities for students.
    • Provide staffing and assistance to the Management Division Professional Advisory Board.
    • Provide leadership in positioning Management Division Programs in national rankings.
    • Provide leadership in Management Division AACSB student assessment activities.
    • Assume additional institutional and academic service duties as may be agreed upon with the Management Division Director.  It is anticipated that, based upon the experience and interest of the successful candidate, the details of this aspect of the job will be crafted and approved among the applicable stakeholders, including the candidate.
    • Abide by all University of Oklahoma policies and procedures applicable to academic faculty.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • Earned Doctorate in Management or Related Discipline
    • At least three years experience teaching at a four-year institution of higher learning
    • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
    • Evidence of excellent teaching ability
    • Experience teaching Principles of Management and Strategic Management

    Preferred:

    ·        At least one year teaching at a AACSB accredited institution

    ·        Experience in teaching large format classes

    ·        Experience in student professional development activities

    ·        Experience working with professional advisory boards

    The Economics Division at Babson College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at any rank in the fields of Public Finance and Development Economics.  We are looking for candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching, research and service. 

     

    Ph.D. in Economics is required, though ABD with a firm completion date by Spring 2011 will also be considered. Candidates must have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and be ready to teach in an integrated, cross-disciplinary environment, and have an active research program primarily in economics, economic development, entrepreneurship, policy or political economy.  Candidates who understand the interconnection between economics and entrepreneurship and bring a global perspective to their teaching and research are particularly welcome.

    All candidates will be evaluated based on their potential for meaningful scholarship that will result in publications in recognized refereed journals.  Preference will be given to candidates with meaningful work experience in an economic development, entrepreneurial or policy context.  The new faculty member will be expected to teach in Economics and may teach a course or two in the Entrepreneurship Division.

    The Department of Business Administration at West Virginia State University would like to hire a fulltime,

    tenure-track faculty at the level of Assistant Professor in Marketing/Entrepreneurship beginning Fall Semester of 2010.

     

    Responsibilities: Teach a full load of undergraduate level courses each semester - there are opportunities

    to teach in the newly created Masters in Entrepreneurship program. Advise students, teach courses as

    needed to meet student/department needs including traditional and on-line courses in the undergraduate

    program, participate in university service and collaborate in program development.

    Qualifications: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a discipline from an accredited university program. ABDs close to

    completion may be considered. Commitment to excellence in teaching and an active scholarly and

    research agenda are required. Prior college/university level teaching experience and/or industry

    experience is preferred. Versatility to teach various combinations of Business courses, and experience

    The Department of Management in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Entrepreneurship and Strategy, rank open, effective August 16, 2015.  The Department offers an undergraduate major in Management with concentrations in business administration, entrepreneurship, and international business; an undergraduate major in Human Resource Management; an M.S. in Human Resource Management, and a Ph.D. in Business with a concentration in Management (OBHR).  The Department also provides instruction in Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and other subjects for the Bachelor of Science in Business, Master of Business Administration, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. in Business.  Virginia Commonwealth University enrolls over 31,000 students, with 3,300 enrolled in the School of Business.  The Department has 14 full-time faculty who are active researchers and engaged teachers.  Management faculty have publications in leading journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology,  and Organizational Research Methods.  The city of Richmond consistently ranks among "Best Places to Live and Work in America" in several national publications.

     

    Qualifications: An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, or Management from an AACSB accredited institution.  Candidates must have teaching experience. Demonstrated excellence in published scholarly research and an active research agenda is required. Candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States and indicate their citizenship or visa status.  A desire to work collaboratively with colleagues to build a strong entrepreneurship program is required.  Preferred qualifications: We seek a candidate who is conducting research in entrepreneurship and has a secondary focus on strategy.  Preference will be given to candidates who can support our teaching in both entrepreneurship and strategy, however, candidates with other supporting teaching areas may be considered.  Although this search is primarily focused on candidates at the assistant professor rank, exceptional candidates at more senior ranks may be considered.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in and commitment to innovative and engaged entrepreneurship teaching.  Demonstrated ability to obtain external funding is desirable.  Business experience is a plus.
