Submissions are welcome for papers with research and managerial implications for Hispanic professionals, managers and executives, as well as those individuals who work for, work with, or supervise Hispanic professionals.
You are encouraged to participate in the research forum on October 9-10, 2009 as part of the NSHMBA 2009 Conference and Career Expo in Minneapolis on October 8-10, 2009. Theoretical, empirical and applied papers are encouraged which examine, for example, Employment, Talent Acquisition, Retention, Performance, Marketing, Corporate Governance, Education, Best Practices in organizations, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or other topics of interest or relevance to researchers and Hispanic professionals and managers.

Guidelines
We are accepting both full papers and abstracts for submission.
Submit an abstract or paper by e-mail to: Cynthia L. Gomez, cgomez@nshmba.org. For questions call Cynthia at (214) 524-7515. Please be sure to submit your paper or abstract prior to the deadline noted below. Early submissions are greatly appreciated. All submissions must be in Microsoft Word or Acrobat PDF format. You will receive an email containing an acceptance or rejection letter within 3 weeks of submission.
Submissions
All submissions should be double-spaced and should begin with a cover page indicating the title of the paper, authors' names, and complete addresses (e.g., author's name, affiliation, address, email address, telephone number). The second page should repeat the title and contain the abstract, but should not list the authors' names or affiliations. If submitting a full manuscript, the text of the manuscript should begin on page 3. In general, manuscripts should be 30 pages or less, not including charts, tables, etc.
Abstracts
Abstracts should be between 500 and 1000 words. If you would like to have your paper considered for a 'best paper' award, full manuscripts need to be submitted by October 1, 2009.
Symposia
Proposals for symposia are encouraged. Typically a symposium has a unifying theme with 2-6 participants providing a different perspective on that theme. We are interested in this standard format but also interested in more innovative or creative formats. A combination of researchers and practitioners or executives would be very desirable for our audience. Case studies are also of interest. Please contact the Research Forum co-chairs to discuss your idea.
In order to facilitate blind review of papers, please be sure that no information identifying the authors is included in the text or reference section of the manuscript. Generally manuscripts should not exceed 30 pages, and all manuscripts should use the manuscript style of the American Psychological Association. Please see the most recent edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for details on this style.
DEADLINE
Manuscript, abstract and/or symposia submission deadline: August 15, 2009
