POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHER POSITION IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (1-3 years)
The School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University is looking to hire a scholar interested in research in entrepreneurship. The post doc position is within the Spears School of Business in the School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University (https://entrepreneurship.okstate.edu). The group has an internationally renowned group of entrepreneurship scholars including Bruce Barringer, Robert Baron, Per Bylund, and Matthew Rutherford. Curt Moore and Bat Batjargal will be joining the team in January, 2018. The research of the department focuses largely on innovative, growth-oriented ventures and entrepreneurial behavior in all of its manifestations, including start-up, corporate, social and public sector contexts. The department is located in the main campus of Oklahoma State University and has an international research community consisting of doctoral students and faculty members from many countries.
The School of Entrepreneurship is one of seven academic departments in the Spears School of Business. The Spears School of business is a leading business school located in Stillwater, OK. Oklahoma State University is a member of the Big-12 Conference. The School of Entrepreneurship, which has received a number of national rankings and honors, has both undergraduate and graduate programs, including a vibrant PhD program. The School of Entrepreneurship is complemented by the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship, which is the outreach and student support arm of its efforts. The Riata Center supports two student new business incubators: AccelerateOSU and 36 Degrees North. AccelerateOSU is adjacent to the Stillwater campus and 36 Degrees North is located in Tulsa, OK.
Job description
The post-doctoral position is intended to allow the chosen researcher to pursue her or his research agenda and to develop personal competencies. We expect the candidate to conduct high quality research related to entrepreneurship and aim to publish in the best international journals. The position is associated with a low teaching load, that is, equivalent of one course per year. In addition, the position includes an opportunity to be involved in doctoral training.
Post-doctoral researchers are required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The dates of the employment relationship can be negotiated, starting at earliest in August 2017. This post-doctoral researcher position is a fixed-term position.
Salary
School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University follows the salary system of United States universities, but applicants may also provide their own salary requests. The position includes employee healthcare and other benefits.
