The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking tenure-track faculty to join the school in the Fall of 2008. We will be considering appointments at the untenured level.
We are seeking candidates whose work complements the research areas that characterize our group, namely decision-making, groups, learning, new employment relationships, and social networks. These research areas represent strengths of the Organizational Behavior and Theory group as well as in the Carnegie Mellon research community more broadly. We have two open positions, described in the enclosed position advertisements. One of the positions is for someone whose work contributes to scholarship on entrepreneurial behavior and processes in organizations. This position represents a collaboration between the OBT and the Entrepreneurship faculties. The second position is open to anyone in organizational behavior or organization theory whose work complements our core research areas.
Candidates should submit their application materials (vitae, copies of publications and research papers, and research and teaching statements) by email (see the two enclosed ads for the email address). Letters of recommendation should be sent to the address noted in each ad. Current doctoral students should also submit a copy of their dissertation proposals. In order to receive full consideration, applicants should submit all their materials by
November 26, 2007.
We expect candidates to be able to handle all aspects of the job: research, teaching and institutional obligations. Applicants should demonstrate potential for producing excellent research. Candidates should also show evidence of, or potential for, excellence in teaching and should have a Ph.D. from an accredited program in organizational behavior or theory, entrepreneurship, strategy, sociology, psychology, or related fields at the time of appointment. Persons who will not have completed their studies by the start of their appointment will not be considered.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding our recruiting this year.
Sincerely,
The Recruiting Committee
