    Entrepreneurship PDW:

    What's Next?

Exploring Career and Life Options for Senior Scholars (PhD +25 years) in Entrepreneurship
    Friday, August 4, 2017, 12:15pm, Hilton Hotel: Room 207

    No preregistration needed!

This PDW is designed for later-career scholars in entrepreneurship and related fields (like MG-ED, BPS, TIM, GDO, ETC). An all-star panel of experts will weigh in with personal stories and examples of senior scholars making a difference, as well as experts on AOM resources and life-planning approaches. The goal is to give participants knowledge of immediate value.

This PDW adds to the Entrepreneurship Division's longstanding efforts around  career-stage workshops (e.g. doctoral student consortia, junior faculty consortia, and mid-career consortia). This PDW will continue this tradition of service, helping members explore the opportunities and resources of later career stages.

    Panelists include:

Frank Hoy (WPI): "I Don't Believe in Reincarnation, ... but Here's What I'd Change!", reflections from a leading senior scholar in entrepreneurship.
Robert Ford (Rollins): "Late Career or Encore Career? That is the Question," advice from a leader of AOM's Community of Academy Senior Scholars (CASS).
Ariane Froidevaux (Florida): "Designing One's Life In Late Careers," design is the new "planning" and here is where you will learn the current best practices from research.
Kimberly Eddleston (Northeastern): "Creating a New Path: Examples of What the Future May Hold" shares the emerging opportunities for late career scholars, including stories of unexpected directions from AOM personalities we all recognize.
Jerry Katz (SLU): Will chair the session and solicit ideas from attendees for future senior scholar efforts.

Everyone is invited. Preregistration is not required, but if you have any questions or thoughts, please let Jerry know at katzja@slu.edu.
