Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, seeks applications from candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Start date: September 2018.
D'Amore-McKim School of Business (DMSB) has been one of the fastest-rising business schools in the U.S. during the last decade, and it is today widely recognized for its commitment to research and entrepreneurial approach to education. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group at DMSB studies innovation, technological change, and entrepreneurship from a variety of disciplinary perspectives and methodological approaches. The Group emphasizes a combination of rigorous scholarship and collegiality to produce a stimulating and productive environment, and plans to continue to grow significantly in the near future.
Candidates to our Assistant or Associate Professor position must possess a Doctorate degree by the appointment start date in Business or a related discipline with a research program focused on entrepreneurship or innovation. They must demonstrate ability to produce original scholarly work at the highest level of quality and impact, consistent with the rank they seek and their graduation date (applicants to the Associate Professor position should have graduated within four years prior to the appointment date). Teaching skills are also important for us, given our reputation for excellence in experiential entrepreneurship education. Teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Employment terms are competitive. Support for faculty member's research is broad and competitive with respect to summer funding, teaching load and discretionary funds for research-related expenses and conferences. A number of faculty research chairs/fellowships are often available on a competitive basis.

· Our Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group has recently accelerated its drive to research excellence with the hiring of three senior faculty, a post-doc program that last year recruited its first two promising young scholars, and a location that provides access to a large network of scholars in other top research institutions.
· Northeastern is ranked among the top five U.S. universities for undergraduate entrepreneurship education. Our entrepreneurship programs are vast and wide-ranging. Our student-led IDEA incubator has graduated more than 40 ventures that have raised over $75 M in external funding. We also host one of the largest social entrepreneurship student programs in the country with a specialization in global micro-finance projects.
· Our Center for Entrepreneurship Education (www.neu.edu/entrepreneurship) continues to pioneer new methods for experiential entrepreneurship education, with strong on-campus venture incubation and a Kaufmann supported research program on entrepreneurial learning.
