As global economic competition becomes increasingly innovation-driven, policymakers in both government and business are fanatically searching for ways to increase innovation at all levels of society including individuals, firms, industries, nations, and regions.  Past research on innovation policy tended to take a piece-meal investigative approach with focus on a single or narrow-set of explanatory variables, resulting in limiting or ineffective policy recommendations.  This PDW seeks to develop a programmatic, cross-national research agenda to investigate the individual and joint influences of three main components of a nation's innovation ecosystem including institutions, infrastructures, and organizations on innovation at multiple levels of analysis.  The session will be highly interactive with panelists and participants working together in small roundtable groups to develop a preliminary research agenda that combines individual members' research interests with the aim of forming a global research network for follow up collaboration.

Pre-registration is required for this session. To register online, please visit https://secure.aom.org/PDWReg.  The deadline to register online is August 5, 2017

We hope to see many of you at the PDW!
