You are cordially invited to attend the AOM symposium
Revisiting Franchising Research: A Multidisciplinary Conversation
While franchising has become an increasingly popular form of business organization, it remains prone to many challenges. With this symposium, we propose to bring together scholars from different disciplines-strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, and organizational behavior-to bridge silos across different approaches on franchising. By studying some of the core topics on franchising while testing diverse theories at multiple levels, this symposium aims at providing linkages between theoretical implications and practical insights on franchising.
Symposium organizers:
Fabrice Lumineau & Shiau-Ling Guo (Purdue U.)

Steven C. Michael (U. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
