    The Management and Organization Department at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time assistant professor tenure-track position in Strategy beginning in September 2018. We have a particular interest in candidates who focus on global/international strategy and entrepreneurship but are open to all focus areas.

    Entrepreneurship is a key focus of the Foster School and of the University of Washington. The M&O department co-sponsors the annual West Coast Research Symposium, a highly respected forum for research on technology entrepreneurship. The Arthur W. Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship is housed within the Foster School and supports a wide variety initiatives related to entrepreneurship. Additionally, a new MS in Entrepreneurship program launched this past summer. The department also has close ties to CoMotion, which is tasked with promoting initiatives related to entrepreneurship and innovation across campus and the broader community.

    We welcome applications from candidates looking for the opportunity to join one of the most research productive business schools in the nation, as well as at one of the most highly ranked public universities in the world. The University of Washington is ranked 11th among the world's best universities by US News and World Report. The Management and Organization department is consistently ranked among the top 10 most productive management departments in the world in terms of research output in premier journals.

It is one of the fastest growing cities in American and has a vibrant entrepreneurial community with numerous start-up and established companies that have close ties to the University.

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent. We seek candidates who have an active program of research, experience in teaching, and who have the potential to perform well in teaching courses in entrepreneurship and strategy at the graduate level. This position has a 9-month service period and the salary is extremely competitive.
