    Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance at Politecnico di Milano

     

    The School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano (www.som.polimi.it) invites candidates to submit an expression of interest in a post-doc position (two year contract, possibly to extend to three years) in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance. The School of Management is looking for talented candidates holding a PhD (awarded within the last three years) or expecting to complete their doctorate by Dec 2018, preferably in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance or related areas.

     

    About the Position

    The successful post-doc candidate is expected to carry out research in the field of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial finance. The candidate will also have teaching duties at the School of Management. He or she will be working in close collaboration with the Faculty and PhD students of the Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Innovation (EFI) lead by Prof. Massimo G.     The selected candidate is expected to attend and present her research results at international conferences and to publish her findings in international journals. The selected candidate will also participate in activities and/or projects within the School of Management that are relevant to her areas of research. The candidate may also be required to join in the organisation of conferences or other coordination tasks on a periodical basis.

    Requirements

    The candidate should:

    ·       Have a proven pipeline of publications in international journals (ISI/SCOPUS) relevant to her field; having papers published in prestigious journals is a plus

    • Master quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies
    • Have a strong interest in and commitment to rigorous research with high impact on society

    ·       Demonstrate an ability and willingness to participate in and promote international research networks and international research partnerships

    ·       Demonstrate an ability and willingness to work in a culturally and academically diverse school and to engage with inter-disciplinary research

    In addition:

    • Experience of teaching in English is desirable.

    Salaries at Politecnico di Milano are set in accordance with the salary system for Italian public universities, with additional performance-related pay awarded by the MIP Graduate School of Business.
