    ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

    DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT & QUANTITATIVE METHODS

    COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

     

    The Department of Management and Quantitative Methods has a tenure-track opening for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, preferably to begin August 16, 2008. The department houses the Small Business Development Center and the Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies, both of which provide opportunities for involvement with small businesses and entrepreneurs.

     

    Doctorate in an appropriate field and prior university teaching experience is required for consideration at the Associate Professor level.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate potential and commitment to do both quality teaching and research.  Senior ABDs may be considered if in late stages of the program. 

     

    The new hire will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. Currently, courses are offered in Introduction to Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship I and II, Franchising, Family Business, New Venture Creation, Entrepreneurship in the Arts, and other ESBM related seminars.  Ability to teach in a secondary area (e.g., Organizational Behavior, Strategy, International Management) is a plus.
