Workshop Format:
We'll begin with an introduction of what is distinctive about social network theory, followed by an overview of typical individual, group, and organization-level topics that management researchers have examined from a network perspective. Then we will introduce the PDW participants to different social network analysis tools to demonstrate types of analyses that are typically used in management research. Finally, we'll conclude with a discussion of the most promising areas for social network research likely to emerge in the coming years, and provide guidance on how to learn more about social network analysis.
