Remember DISCOtech initiative? A meetup for people interested in crossnational collaborations - it's on! Six tables, each themed around a country/continent.
Friday 6pm-7:30pm, session #189 in the Hilton.
How many of you remember Brett Gilbert's brainchild in Vancouver, DISCOtech, that provided a friendly place to discuss research and other collaborations across countries/regions??
The ENT Division is reviving it under the leadership of David Urbano. We have identified several "Ambassadors"/table hosts to represent global areas like India. We have room for a couple more AND plenty of room (and refreshments!) for any of you to attend and find new collaborators!
YOU: Should be there!
YOU: Should be an Ambassador for one of the tables (can be country, region, city (we can have more than 1 per table!)
Directing the Festivities: the awesome David Urbano,
david.urbano@uab.cat If you are tempted to be an Ambassador, cc him (or email him & cc me. so we can start recruiting the best attendees for your table!
THANKS!
p.s. a couple of you were suggested by your colleagues so if you did not get an earlier email, that is MY fault!

| DISCOtech facilitates, in a fun and dynamic way, the Development of International Scholarship Collaboration Opportunities and the Techniques needed to support global research collaborations. It empowers scholars to connect with individuals who live, work and/or conduct research in countries of interest to a scholar, and to discuss strategies for conducting international research. It offers opportunities to connect in an informal setting that provides an an opportunity for individuals to meet others with whom research collaborations in a given country of interest can be fostered. |
