Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Germany. The Institute for Innovation Management (IIM) at LMU Munich has multiple open positions for full time Postdoctoral Researchers.

About the Institute for Innovation Management (IIM)
The Institute for Innovation Management (IIM) at the Munich School of Management, LMU Munich, is currently being established by Professor Jelena Spanjol, focusing on high-quality, rigorous, and relevant research and teaching in the domain of innovation management. The institute's principal tenets are interdisciplinarity, multimethodology, and academy-industry collaboration. Research pertains broadly to innovation motivations, capabilities, and behaviors among and at the intersection of organizations and customers/consumers. The institute provides a dynamic and collaborative work environment, with research and travel funds available to institute members.

As part of the institute, postdoctoral researchers will contribute to the institute's research and teaching portfolio by conducting theoretically-grounded, managerially-meaningful research with the aims of publishing in top academic journals and delivering excellence in teaching. Postdoctoral researchers will also actively support doctoral students and engage in collaborations with other institute team members.

    Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for full-time postdoctoral researchers desiring to advance knowledge in the domain of innovation management. Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellence in their publication and presentation record and possess a high-potential research pipeline. We are seeking individuals who enjoy a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, have a proven track record in teaching across program levels, and possess excellent English communication skills (written and oral).

Postdoctoral researchers will have completed a PhD in a field related to innovation management (such as Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Management/Health Sciences/Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Sociology, etc.). Candidates will have demonstrated expertise in one or more empirical methodologies.

    How to Apply
Please send a cover letter, current CV (including three references), PhD diploma, and a sample publication to Prof. Dr. Jelena Spanjol (spanjol@bwl.lmu.de) by July 30, 2017 (early applications are strongly encouraged).

A conversion to an indefinite position (tenure track) is not possible. Starting dates will be individually arranged. The successful candidate will work towards completion of a habilitation during the appointment. German civil service regulations will need to be met.

LMU Munich provides newly appointed faculty with various services, including welcome services and dual career support.

LMU Munich is an equal opportunity employer and intends to enhance the diversity of its faculty. In the case of essentially equal qualifications, applicants with impairments will be given preference. The option of part-time employment is available in principle. We encourage women to apply.
