ASSISTANT PROFESSOR TENURE-TRACK POSITIONS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University
The Department of Entrepreneurship at Baylor University invites applications and nominations for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in Entrepreneurship within the Hankamer School of Business. Applicants just completing the PhD and Assistant level applicants with several years of experience are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will begin employment in August, 2018.
Description:
Candidates must have significant research and teaching accomplishments in entrepreneurship or demonstrated potential to perform at the highest level. Publications in top entrepreneurship, management, and related journals is preferred. A secondary interest in strategic management is preferred due to potential teaching needs. A desire to work closely with Ph.D. students and possibly teach at the doctoral level is a plus.
The Entrepreneurship Department:
Entrepreneurship has been a part of the Baylor undergraduate curriculum since 1977. Publications such as U.S. News and World Report and Entrepreneurship magazine consistently recognize Baylor Entrepreneurship in their rankings of top programs. The Department of Entrepreneurship is located in the new state of the art Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. The department provides a collegial work environment, with supportive colleagues who are leaders in the field of entrepreneurship. Department faculty pursue groundbreaking research and regularly publish in top journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Our faculty are editors of top journals in entrepreneurship and serve on editorial boards of premier journals in entrepreneurship and management.
The Department of Entrepreneurship also features one of the first entrepreneurship centers in the United States. The Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise is a national and international leader in the preservation of the competitive free enterprise system and the vital entrepreneurship sector of the economy through research, teaching, and informing public policy. In support of these efforts, department faculty contribute to this area through research, teaching, and informing public policy in ways that align with faculty research interest and expertise.
Baylor University:

Requirements:
Candidates for the position should possess (or expect completion by August 2018) an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited program in entrepreneurship or business management (or a closely related discipline) with a research focus in entrepreneurship. A record of publications in academic journals is highly desired. The applicant should demonstrate evidence of teaching in the areas of entrepreneurship and/or strategic management, and a commitment to collaboration and collegiality within the department, school, and university. Practical experience as an entrepreneur is desirable. We also seek candidates interested in research at the intersection of policy and entrepreneurship to support our Center's goals and who can contribute to our highly productive environment.

We will be interviewing select candidates at the Academy of Management meeting in Atlanta, GA. We encourage applicants to submit their materials before July 15, 2017 so that for those interested interviews can be scheduled at the Academy, though interviewing at the Academy is not required to be considered for the position.
