Post-doctoral research fellow position for an expert on panel data research methods and entrepreneurship at the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research
On behalf of its research on the nexus of entrepreneurs and opportunities, the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (ACE) at the QUT Business School in Australia is looking for a postdoc with excellent quantitative research skills.
The main tasks of the postdoc will be to:
· Develop and work with large panel datasets.
· Prepare and publish research outcomes in top tier international journals
· Engaging with industry to create research with impact
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be part of a research project on entrepreneurship and strategy in the natural resources sector. The project receives generous funding from the Australian Research Council and an industry partner. The team is led by Henri Burgers and further consists of renowned international scholars such as professors Per Davidsson, Rene Bakker, Dean Shepherd, and Andreas Schwab. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for the postdoctoral researcher to improve their research skills and track record.
The ideal candidate for this position is fluent in English and recently has, or is about to acquire, a PhD in econometrics, statistics, strategy, entrepreneurship or related social science discipline; has demonstrated qualifications and experience in panel data analyses, and is proficient in using programs/languages such as Stata and SQL.
The appointment will be according to relevant conditions set out in the collective Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (see: Working at QUT) and will be for a period of 1-2 years. Base salary ranges from $AUD91,000-109,000 per annum plus generous superannuation and leave loadings. The position is research only and will offer ample opportunity to develop one's track record within the broader research interests of ACE.
