    ***please forgive the inevitable cross-postings****

A lot of you got Ana Maria's email about ways to help Peru right now-
it will be a long slog to fix what has happened. Rebuilding the
economy is going to be a big part of this. Here's maybe a way to help
    Peru's small-scale entrepreneurs...

When I made my daily visit to www.hungerfighters.com (US sponsors
donate food for everyone who clicks) and its global sister site,
www.hungersite.com ... I saw a link for helping Peru. You can go to
Hungersite, click through & you have a way to donate (via
    GreaterGood.org) with receipt. But....

You can also buy products from Peruvian microenterprises at that site.
No deduction, but you can do a little gift shopping from Peruvian
entrepreneurs. I made a quick donation immediately, but I've begun
browsing the Hungersite's online store for Peru-made items.

I suspect that there are other places you can do this - pick wisely
(these folks are partnered with Mercy Corps; Ana Maria's links are to
    the Red Cross and Oxfam.)

    Original links from Ana Maria:
Here are two websites that offer information and a chance to contribute:

    http://www.oxfam.org/en/news/2007/pr070816_peru_earthquake_response
    http://www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=023729&tid=001

    [ p.s. like www.kiva.org , you should bookmark www.hungerfighters.com
too! Hungerfighters' site was helped significantly by entrepreneurship
faculty (Harriet tephenson) and students. ]

    And, as always...

    Keep entrepreneuring!
