The Management and Human Resources Department at <st1:placename w:st="on">California</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">State</st1:placetype> <st1:placename w:st="on">Polytechnic</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>, <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Pomona</st1:place></st1:city> (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions in entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and business communication. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications. The appointments will begin Fall 2008.
The Positions: The entrepreneurship candidate will be expected to teach courses in introduction to entrepreneurship, creating business plans, emergent ventures, and family business. The organizational behavior candidate will be expected to teach courses in organizational behavior; leadership; and men, women and management. The business communication candidate will be expected to teach courses in business communication. The positions require excellence in teaching and advising, scholarly publications, and service to the university. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability for participation in professional and scholarly activities, for participating in department, college and university service and for working with a diverse student body and multicultural constituencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D/DBA required in Business or appropriate related field from an accredited university. ABD's with significant progress towards degree completion by appointment date will also be considered.
- Exemplary teaching commensurate with experience is required
- Academic publication record corresponding to rank
- Evidence of or potential for working effectively with multicultural constituencies and a diverse student body.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- Involvement with professional associations, clients or community groups, and/or industry/consulting experience.
- Evidence of some grant writing.
