The Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creative Intelligence Unit champions and coordinates the UTS IECI Strategy (

The strategy is a pan-university initiative harnessing and integrating UTS's existing strengths in creativity, technology and innovation to develop an exceptional knowledge offering for students, faculty and the public and private sectors, building on UTS's profile as a leader in the creative industries, creative innovation and creative intelligence.
UTS is now implementing a wider strategic focus across the organisation, on innovation, entrepeneurship and creativity activities that emphasise its distinctiveness in teaching, research and partnerships. The Executive Director, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creative Intelligence is a high level, strategic, executive, academic leadership role, which will be pivotal to the overall success of the University's innovation, entrepreneurship and creative intelligence aspirations. The role is responsible for shaping the ongoing vision, direction and priorities of the UTS IECI Strategy, driving its implementation, and championing a wider strategic focus on innovation and creativity activities across the organization. The Executive Director will be a founding member of the UTS Innovation Council, provide strategic advice on the direction and priorities of the UTS Design Innovation Research Centre; the Centre has a dotted line reporting relationship to this position in a matrix structure.
The successful candidate for this exciting role will demonstrate significant leadership skills, including the capacity to initiate, lead and manage change in response to a challenging and evolving higher education environment, and will have a deep knowledge and awareness of new thinking, research, practices and technologies in the national and international creative intelligence and innovation spheres. A proven ability to collaborate and form strong and productive networks across the university and externally with government, industry, the higher education sector and the community is critical to this role, as is significant functional management experience.
