POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
ENTREPRENEURSHIP/STRATEGY
The Department of Marketing/Management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. The department plans to grow the entrepreneurship program and the ideal candidate will assume leadership in the Maverick Entrepreneurship Institute, curriculum development, and working with business owners in the metropolitan area and the state. Additional duties include collaborations with the Nebraska Business Development Center and with other departments. This position is funded and will begin in Fall 2008. The position will include teaching two courses each semester for the first three semesters.
The College of Business is accredited by AACSB. The UNO CBA offers small course sections for untenured faculty. The University of Nebraska at Omaha is located in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska, a metropolitan area with an MSA population of approximately 822,000. Omaha is home to five Fortune 500 firms and has a strong entrepreneurial business environment. UNO offers about 200 programs of study to approximately 11,500 undergraduate and 2,600 graduate students. Required qualifications
Required qualifications include a completed doctoral degree in business with the major field of study in entrepreneurship and/or strategic management. Evidence of excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching and an established record of research accomplishments are also required.
