Hello Netters,
I am working on a project related to student involvement in venture capital (VC). After searching various university websites, I've been impressed with the extent to which some schools have built VC-related curriculum and established VC internship opportunities for their students.
If you have been involved in such a program, would you mind briefly sharing your experiences? You can reply to me directly at ftlohrke@samford.edu if you'd like, and I'd be happy to accumulate and share responses.
In particular, I'd very much like to know:
1. How long has your program been running?
2. How many VC companies are involved (e.g., is it exclusively one or a consortium)?
3. How is the program managed (e.g., departmental, school, or university level)?
4. How involved are students (e.g., interns, VC fund investors, managers in VC-run companies)?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
Have a great weekend!
Franz Lohrke
