UNIVERSITY LECTURER OR SENIOR UNIVERSITY LECTURER IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION
The position is in the Entrepreneurship unit within the Department of Management Studies at the Aalto University Business School (http://management.aalto.fi/en). The unit runs a Master's programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. In addition, it provides teaching to other programmes within the Business School and for engineering and design students based in the other Aalto University schools. Our courses are also offered as part of the Aalto Ventures Program (http://avp.aalto.fi).
The Entrepreneurship unit has a strong research culture. In the past few years, we have published articles in journals such as the Academy of Management Perspectives, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, and Small Business Economics. We are also actively engaged in creating societal impact both domestically and internationally, for example through policy consultancy work for national ministries and international organisations such as Eurostat, ILO and the OECD.
The new lecturer would be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of individual courses, curriculum development, be an active member of the Aalto entrepreneurship ecosystem, and be involved in managerial and administrative tasks relating to the unit. In addition, research active applicants would be strongly encouraged to pursue their research agenda.
The post will be filled at the level of University Lecturer or Senior University Lecturer on the Aalto University lecturer track.
The preferred commencement of employment is 1 August 2017, but this can be negotiated.
Requirements
A successful candidate must hold a PhD, possess excellent pedagogical skills and have experience in teaching entrepreneurship and innovation at the university level. A strong research record and ambition in relevant fields is highly desirable.
Salary
Aalto University follows the salary system of Finnish universities, but applicants may also provide their own salary requests. The position includes employee healthcare.
