    SSTI's 2017 Annual Conference
    Sept. 13-15 | Washington, D.C.

SSTI is seeking submissions from the SciSIP community for session ideas that will combine recent or forthcoming research related to science and innovation policy with practitioner perspectives. The objectives for these sessions are to increase recognition and collaboration among researchers and practitioners, while educating the audience about the results of recent research. Sessions may be structured so that practitioners are responding to research, providing "real-world" examples of research findings, or another arrangement suited to accomplishing these goals. Session tracks will emphasize capital access, cluster development, industry/university partnerships and organization strategy, but all ideas are welcome.

    About the Conference
Join us in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 13-15 for SSTI's 2017 Annual Conference. During each conference, the leading policymakers and practitioners of regional innovation economies come together to discuss critical opportunities and common challenges. Washington provides an opportunity not only to meet with these peers, but also to showcase the impact of science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship for federal officials and legislators.

Last year, researchers and practitioners presented four sessions as part of the conference's regular agenda, and pre- and post-conference SciSIP meetings provided additional opportunities to network and discuss research agendas.

Learn more about the conference, register at early bird rates and reserve your room at ssticonference.org.

    Submission
Submit a brief abstract including a) suggested session title, b) 1-2 paragraph session description, c) potential speakers and d) the submitter's contact information to contactus@ssti.org.

Dependent upon the availability of funds, SSTI will cover travel expenses for presenters.

    Submission Deadline
    May 1, 2017
