    Lichtenburger Chair

    The School of Management at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY) is recruiting a Full Professor for the Lichtenburger Chair of Entrepreneurship to start Fall 2017. The Lichtenburger Chair will be expected to bring intellectual leadership to the Strategy group with the Department of Operations Management & Strategy, and maintain an active program of high impact research and teaching in Entrepreneurship.  The ideal candidate will also serve as Academic Director for the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL), a long-standing center in the School of Management with an active set of entrepreneurship programs and an extensive presence in the regional start-up and entrepreneurship community.  

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have a record of scholarship consistent with the rank of Full Professor at a leading research university.  This includes a significant portfolio of publications in top-tier journals in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Candidates must have a successful record as an effective teacher at both graduate and undergraduate levels. A strong interest and ability to work with key entrepreneurship stakeholders in the School of Management, across the University and in the external entrepreneurship community is also a key expectation.

    Department

    The Department of Operations Management & Strategy offers undergraduate, MBA and PhD courses in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, International Business as well as courses in Supply Chain & Operations Management. An MS degree in Supply Chains and Operations Management is also offered. A Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) also operates within the School of Management.
