"Doing Well by Doing Good"?
As we all know, the Academy has chosen the above "byline" for the upcoming conference as a means to emphasize the importance of ethics and social responsibility to our efforts to better understand organizations and their place in society. In support of this theme, we have developed a survey to better understand what Academy members actually think about ethics and how they experience ethics in their professional lives.
We would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey as to allow for the most complete picture the role of ethics in the eyes of Academy members.
The results of the survey - along with examples of successful approaches to the teaching of ethics - will be presented at our PDW: "Ethics: Are We Doing What We Say We Should? - The Role of Ethics in Academic Business Programs" which will take place on Sunday August 5 at 8:00-9:50 at Loews Philadelphia, Commonwealth Al.
We would like to note that survey participants that chose to submit their contact information at the end of the survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two $100 gift certificate to be spent at a local restaurant in Philadelphia (AOM annual meeting, August 3-8, 2007) sponsored by McGraw-Hill publishing.
We invite you to both contribute to what is known about the actual role of ethics in the eyes of Academy members and to learn to what degree it can be said that "Doing Well by Doing Good" is the Academy way.
