Management Faculty Position Announcement
The Department of Management at Iowa State University is seeking
applications to fill one tenure-track faculty position in management at the
assistant or associate professor level. Responsibilities include conducting
high quality research and teaching in management at the undergraduate and
graduate levels. The primary teaching responsibility will be in the area of
entrepreneurship. Secondary areas are open but preference will be given to
those with expertise in either organizational behavior or strategy. The
position is available August, 2008.
The position is open to persons holding a doctorate in management or related
discipline, and those currently completing their doctorate degree, but
completion of the doctoral degree must be completed prior to start date.
For Assistant Professor: Applicants must have a strong commitment to conduct
high quality research publishable in top tier journals and to provide
quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. For
Associate Professor: In addition to the above, applicants must have a
proven track record that includes multiple publications in top tier
journals, strong teaching evaluations, and a commitment to university
service.
Iowa State University is a land-grant university with an enrollment of
approximately 26,000 students. The College of Business is AACSB accredited
at the Bachelors and MBA levels and has recently been approved for a Ph.D.
program in Business and Technology. The successful candidate will be
expected to participate in all aspects of our educational mission.
Ames, Iowa is a community with a population of 50,000 and located 30 miles
from Des Moines, the states capital and largest city.
