For those of you outside of driving distance from <st1:city w:st="on">St. Louis</st1:city>, this is probably the last week to make arrangements to attend the 2007 Gateways To Entrepreneurship Research Conference, to be held on the campus of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Saint Louis</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> April 12 through 14. The keynoter is Kelly Shave (<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Charleston</st1:placename></st1:place>), his topic is "Entrepreneurship Through Curriculum" and the overall theme of the Conference is cross-campus entrepreneurship. Thanks to sponsorship from the Kauffman Foundation and AACSB Entrepreneurship Affinity Group, the cost is still only $200.
This year's Gateway Conference is the perfect opportunity to bring colleagues from other departments or disciplines who are exploring getting faculty and students involved in entrepreneurship education. No papers are required, attendees establish group discussion themes and spend their time in those groups (so they are where they want to be), the pace and scale is easy to handle, and there is always a mix of newbies and old hands around to talk with and help.
