Babson is a private institution, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in management and executive education programs that are ranked among the best in the world. It is distinguished at both the undergraduate and graduate levels by its award-winning, integrated curricula and has been recognized for its innovative assessment initiatives. In addition, the College has been acclaimed both nationally and internationally for its premier position in entrepreneurship education.     The <u2:placename u3:st="on">F.</u2:placename> <u2:placename u3:st="on">W.</u2:placename> Olin Graduate School of Business is known for its strengths in entrepreneurship, curriculum innovation, and outstanding teaching.  Its portfolio of dynamic programs is designed to meet the needs of its students in terms of both content and delivery.  These programs include the Two-Year MBA, One-Year MBA, Evening MBA, and a recently launched Fast Track MBA that blends traditional classroom instruction with interactive, multimedia, Web-based teaching.  With a globally-oriented faculty, aggressive international student recruiting, and partner schools around the world, Babson is building a worldwide brand in graduate management education. 

     

    Babson seeks an experienced, dynamic individual who will be the primary advocate for the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on"><u2:place u3:st="on"><u2:placename u3:st="on">Graduate</u2:placename></u2:place></st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on"><u2:placetype u3:st="on">School</u2:placetype></st1:placetype></st1:place> within and outside the College. The Dean will be responsible for providing leadership and vision to the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on"><u2:place u3:st="on"><u2:placename u3:st="on">Graduate</u2:placename></u2:place></st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on"><u2:placetype u3:st="on">School</u2:placetype></st1:placetype></st1:place> for all academic, fiscal, and personnel matters. Responsibilities will include the strategic implementation of administrative and academic endeavors, extension of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on"><u2:place u3:st="on"><u2:placename u3:st="on">Graduate</u2:placename></u2:place></st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on"><u2:placetype u3:st="on">School</u2:placetype></st1:placetype></st1:place>'s internal and external strategic partnerships, participation in fundraising activities, and management of all academic administrative departments, including graduate admissions, program management, and career development.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a solid and successful record of achieving the academic and administrative objectives necessary to support the mission, vision, and strategy of an innovative entrepreneurial institution. Other qualities sought include strong scholarly achievement, a collaborative team-based leadership style, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an innovative approach to problem solving. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of graduate management education and a vision for business education in the future. S/he must have proven skills in faculty development, a commitment to diversity and global awareness, and high academic and ethical standards. A doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
